The Directors of Tzannes wish to announce that Jonathan Evans has decided to resign from the practice to start his own architectural studio.
This will take effect from the 29th of January 2021. Whilst we are deeply saddened by his decision to leave the practice, we fully support his future endeavours.
Jonathan started with Tzannes in 1997, became a Director in 2001 and has been an owner since 2007 – bringing to a close 24 years of distinguished practice with us. Over these years Jonathan has made a highly significant contribution to Tzannes through his leadership of projects, enhanced management operations, and in the development of our distinctive culture.
In 2010 he completed a Masters of Sustainable Architecture, which brought a renewed focus and implementation of environmental sustainability in our design thinking, and the introduction of innovative, low carbon building solutions.
During his time with Tzannes, Jonathan led or co-led over 100 major projects, including the multi-award-winning International House and Daramu House commercial buildings at Barangaroo.
We recognise his growing passion to advocate for the use of sustainable timber and technologies in all forms of design and construction. As a practice we wish him the very best for his future endeavours and look forward to our continued relationship in another form, as part of the extended Tzannes family.
