The Olympic Cauldron and Overflow Park

A monument to the Sydney 2000 Olympics incorporating commemoration of the Olympic Games athletes, Paralympic games athletes, Athens 1896 games, patron fund donors and contemporary issues such as reconciliation, the role of women and inclusion of people with disabilities in mainstream Australian culture.

The specialist design development and detail design was assisted by the following team members: water feature by Don Ledingham; fire element by FCT (Adelaide); Structural Engineering by Richard Green of Taylor Thompson Whitting; Electrical/Lighting by Barry Webb and Iain Clarke of Barry Webb Associates; Landscape by Craig Burton, and; Art overlay by Imants Tillers.
