Tzannes’ Public Domain Furniture triumphs in the 2016 Red Dot Awards
We are very honoured and thrilled to announce that the Tzannes suite of street furniture for the City of Sydney has won a prestigious 2016 Red Dot Award for Product Design. The international award was announced in Essen, Germany, last night with participants from 57 nations submitting 5,200 products and innovations. With 41 experts from around the world serving as judges, the award guarantees a very high judging standard.
Among the international Jurists for 2016 were Prof. Martin Parn, Ken Okuyama, Simon Ong, Kristiina Lassus, Dr Luisa Bocchietto, Prof. Masayo Ave, Manuel Alvarez Fuentes and Prof. Jimmy Choo.
Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and president of the Red Dot Award: “The Red Dot winners demonstrated an extraordinary design quality, and also showed that design is an integral part of innovative product solutions.” The independent expert panel assessed each entry on criteria including of innovation, formal quality, functionality and ecological compatibility.
